Senior Windows Administrator - Remote Platform Engineer Role

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Windows Administrator to join our team in a fully remote capacity. This Senior Windows Administrator remote position focuses on ensuring the stability, security, and performance of Windows-based enterprise systems across a complex remote infrastructure. You will manage mission-critical environments and provide application support for key platforms, proactively resolving issues and optimizing system performance.

What You'll Do

• Manage and maintain Windows server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and associated services.
• Provide expert technical support for Windows-based applications, troubleshooting and optimizing for performance and availability.
• Implement and monitor system performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues to ensure high availability.
• Develop and enforce security policies and respond to incidents to protect IT resources and organizational data.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for system architectures, configurations, processes, and service records.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external clients to deliver IT solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Stay informed on emerging technologies and industry best practices, recommending improvements to systems and processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in Windows administration and enterprise application support, including platforms such as IBM FileNet and DataCap.
• Expertise in managing Windows Server environments, networking protocols, and infrastructure services.
• Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Familiarity with scripting and automation tools, such as PowerShell or Ansible.
• Strong problem-solving, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Experience with IT security frameworks and compliance standards.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker.
• Certifications such as MCSE or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
