Senior Team Lead - Technical Leadership for Elements Team

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Team Lead to join our Elements team at Fundraise Up. This is a remote position, ideally suited for candidates in the CET timezone. As a Senior Team Lead, you will play a critical role in guiding our talented team of developers in creating embedded "elements"—a suite of widgets that nonprofits integrate into their websites to enhance donation capabilities and display impact statistics. Your leadership will be instrumental in ensuring our technical projects align with our company’s vision and objectives.

What You'll Do

• Lead a team of 3-5 Fullstack developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
• Write and review code, balancing management responsibilities with hands-on development (approximately 70/30 split).
• Ensure adherence to company processes and engineering guidelines, promoting best practices within the team.
• Own the delivery of features, manage technical debt, and maintain the technical backlog for your team.
• Make informed technical decisions and prepare designs for new features, collaborating with neighboring teams and your manager.
• Mentor and develop engineers, conducting regular 1:1 meetings and performance reviews.
• Onboard new team members, ensuring they integrate smoothly into the team.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software development experience, with at least 2 years as a Team Lead or Engineering Manager.
• Hands-on leader capable of writing code and making sound technical decisions.
• Strong people management skills, including hiring, coaching, and conflict resolution.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Fullstack Developer, with proficiency in our tech stack: TypeScript, Node.js, MongoDB, Kafka, Redis.
• Experience in product companies and fast-growing environments is a plus.
• Fluent in English (B2+ level), able to discuss technical topics confidently.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Cloudflare Workers and Preact.
• Background in working with nonprofits or similar sectors.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and modern software development practices.
