Backend Developer (.NET) - Payments Engineering

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Backend Developer (.NET) remote to join our Payments Engineering team at Betsson Group. What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable server-side applications using the .NET framework.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers and product managers, to translate requirements into technical specifications.
• Develop and implement secure RESTful APIs and microservices for client applications.
• Utilize object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and design patterns to enhance application architecture.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of backend applications to ensure high quality and reliability.
• Optimize application performance through code optimizations, caching strategies, and database tuning.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and adherence to best practices.
• Stay updated with the latest trends in backend development and contribute to improving development processes.

Requirements

• Proficiency in .NET and C# with a strong understanding of OOP principles.
• Experience with SQL databases and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably AWS or Azure.
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases and microservices architecture.
• Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.

Nice to Have

• Experience with distributed systems and domain-oriented services.
• Understanding of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with messaging systems like RabbitMQ and Apache Kafka.
