Senior UX Designer - Remote Role for DevTool SaaS

About the Role

Join Checkly as a Senior UX Designer remote and empower developers to ensure application performance and reliability. This is a fully remote role, and you will work within the UTC-3 to UTC+3 time zones. You will lead the design of our platform, shaping the future of our user experience from concept to execution.

What You'll Do

• Lead the product design of Checkly’s platform, becoming the go-to person for design decisions regarding user experience and interface.
• Bridge design and development by prototyping in code and collaborating closely with frontend engineers on implementation.
• Shape the design vision for new features, contributing from early exploration through implementation and iteration.
• Engage with support and customer success teams to understand customer problems deeply.
• Co-develop and maintain our growing design system with Engineering, ensuring scalability, accessibility, and performance.
• Champion high standards of UI/UX and developer experience across teams while being pragmatic about trade-offs.
• Utilize AI tools daily as a core part of your workflow, enhancing your design process and pushing the boundaries of AI-assisted design.

Requirements

• Experience designing data-heavy screens: graphs, tables, charts, etc.
• Experience working on design systems.
• Past experience as a frontend engineer or ability to code when needed.
• Deep comfort working with AI tools to enhance productivity and creativity.
• Excellent spoken and written English skills.
• Ability to be autonomous and self-motivated in a remote work environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience with tools like Figma, Miro, and Slack.
• Familiarity with Vue.js, Tailwind, and Node.js.
• Proven ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
