Senior TPM Leader for Compute and Infrastructure - Remote

About the Role

We're hiring a Senior TPM Leader for Compute and Infrastructure to join our rapidly growing team at Anthropic. This remote position is pivotal in managing our compute and infrastructure systems that train our AI models and serve our products. As a leader in this role, you will oversee a wide range of responsibilities, including datacenter operations, capacity planning, and production serving infrastructure.

What You'll Do

• Own and drive 2–3 of the highest-priority programs across compute and infrastructure while building your team.
• Run actual programs—datacenter bring-up timelines, capacity scaling plans, infrastructure migrations, and cross-team reliability efforts.
• Build processes and playbooks—determine effective practices and codify them for your team.
• Earn credibility with engineering leads through solid execution, not just strategy.
• Define roles, write job descriptions, source candidates, and close hires to build a TPM team from scratch.
• Coach and develop TPMs as you transition programs to your team.
• Work with engineering leads to identify work that would most benefit from TPM support.
• Maintain portfolio-level visibility across programs—status, risks, dependencies, blockers.
• Coordinate across Compute, Infrastructure, and partner teams on programs that span organizational boundaries.
• Own executive communication on program status, risks, and resource needs.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in technical program management, with 7+ years directly managing TPMs.
• Experience building a team or function from scratch.
• Ability to scale TPM teams in rapidly-growing environments.
• Experience across physical and software infrastructure—datacenters, networking, hardware ops, distributed systems, cloud platforms.
• Experience running large-scale compute or infrastructure programs.
• Strong communication skills to convey complex programs to senior leadership.
• Comfortable making staffing and prioritization decisions without perfect information.

Nice to Have

• Experience in AI or machine learning environments.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, and Azure.
• Experience in a startup or fast-paced tech environment.
