Senior Systems Engineer - Modeling, Simulation & Analysis
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer - Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis to join our dynamic team in Tucson, AZ. This remote Senior Systems Engineer position offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex multi-disciplinary projects that support missile defense systems and other advanced military technologies. As a key member of the Performance Simulation team, you will be responsible for developing high-fidelity simulation models that evaluate system performance, assist in design optimization, and support flight testing activities.
What You'll Do
- Create and maintain high-fidelity simulation models for missile design and performance assessment.
- Develop innovative modeling solutions and conduct trade studies to evaluate system and subsystem performance.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide technical guidance and ensure simulation activities align with project schedules.
- Contribute to the development of technical documentation and briefings.
- Support the entire product lifecycle—from initial concept to fielded systems—by providing expert analysis and recommendations.
- Interact with government stakeholders, representing the technical authority on simulation products.
- Assist senior engineers in planning and executing complex simulation tasks that advance our defense capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM field.
- At least five years of relevant experience in systems engineering, modeling, or simulation.
- Proven expertise in object-oriented software development using C or C++, and proficiency in Python or MATLAB for data analysis.
- Solid understanding of physical system modeling, simulation techniques, and statistical analysis.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain an interim DoD Secret security clearance are mandatory.
- Prior experience working on defense or missile systems is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with UNIX/Linux environments and experience with version control tools such as Git.
- Advanced degrees or additional certifications in related fields are preferred.
