Senior Systems Engineer - Level 4 (Top Secret Clearance)

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer - Level 4 (remote) to join our team at Northrop Grumman. This position is based in Aurora, Colorado, and requires an active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance. As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will play a crucial role in system integration, verification, and validation for total systems, ensuring the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions.

What You'll Do

• Perform system integration and verification for total systems, including concept, design, test, installation, operation, and maintenance.
• Maintain existing operations procedures and develop new procedures as required.
• Interface with program and customer personnel to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
• Decompose and allocate requirements to different levels of the system architecture (HW, FW, and SW).
• Develop and release Systems Engineering artifacts, including specifications, technical documents, and test plans.
• Collaborate with multiple functional engineering groups to synthesize requirements and integrate new technologies.
• Participate in engineering development, production, and deployment milestones.
• Document process improvements and new technologies for implementation consideration.

Requirements

• Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance at the time of application.
• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 8 years of relevant experience; or 6 years with a Master's degree; or 4 years with a PhD.
• Previous work experience as a systems engineer, system integrator, or software engineer.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Experience using Jira/Confluence for collaboration and task management.
• Experience with DOORs and/or Cameo for requirements management.
• Ability to create interface description documents.

Nice to Have

• Experience identifying and planning mitigations for technical risks.
• Experience with planning new capability development/technology insertion into operational systems.
• Experience with performing/writing studies and proof of concept activities.
