Head of Communication and Press - Remote Opportunity
About the Role
We are seeking a talented Head of Communication and Press to join the Sitges Film Festival team in a remote capacity. In this role, you will take full responsibility for the strategic definition, planning, and execution of the festival's communication and press plan, ensuring the coherence of positioning, media projection, and institutional reputation.
What You'll Do
- Define, develop, and implement a comprehensive communication and press strategy aligned with the festival's strategic objectives.
- Identify and activate new visibility and media coverage opportunities, including traditional media, digital platforms, and relevant influencers.
- Manage relationships with collaborating media and partners, ensuring smooth and efficient coordination.
- Oversee the conceptualization and production of editorial content (web, newsletters, press kits, and promotional materials), ensuring message quality and coherence.
- Plan, coordinate, and optimize the festival's presence on social media, in line with the global communication strategy.
- Organize and manage press conferences, photocalls, and other media engagement activities.
- Coordinate interviews, manage accreditations, and maintain an active relationship with specialized and general press, both nationally and internationally.
- Lead and develop the communication team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
- Ensure cross-departmental coordination with other areas of the festival (Industry, Marketing, Production, among others).
- Supervise all communication materials and official publications, ensuring their coherence and quality.
- Monitor and analyze media impact, preparing reports and proposals for continuous improvement.
- Supervise and validate the management and exploitation of CRM tools for audience segmentation and relationship management.
- Prepare the technical specifications necessary for drafting print and signage specifications.
- Assume other functions related to the field that may be assigned.
Requirements
- Higher education in Communication, Journalism, or related fields.
- Demonstrable experience in cultural communication, preferably in the audiovisual sector or festivals.
- In-depth knowledge of the national and international media ecosystem.
- Solid experience in leadership and team management.
- Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in Catalan (level C), Spanish (level C), and English (level C1); knowledge of other languages is a plus.
- High organizational capacity and ability to work in demanding environments with tight deadlines.
- Competence in using CRM systems, as well as data analysis and experience in managing and designing email marketing campaigns with a results-oriented approach.
