Senior System Technician - Multimedia and Theater Technology

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior System Technician - Multimedia and Theater Technology to join our rapidly growing team at PKE-Mediacom. This role offers the opportunity to work remotely while contributing to innovative communication and media technology solutions tailored for various sectors, including music theaters, hospitals, universities, and broadcast studios. As a Senior System Technician, you will play a crucial role in configuring and expanding AV media controls and ensuring efficient technical support.

What You'll Do

• Configure and expand AV media controls and inspection systems in theaters.
• Create and adapt graphical user interfaces for touch panels and control surfaces.
• Integrate and configure AV systems and intercom systems (audio, video, control).
• Provide support and troubleshooting for multimedia systems.
• Conduct maintenance and actively manage our existing customer base.
• Maintain documentation and plans related to system configurations.

Requirements

• Completed training in media technology, electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field.
• Extensive knowledge of networking technologies and common communication protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, RS232).
• Several years of experience programming or managing AV systems such as QSC, Crestron, or similar systems.
• System knowledge of Riedel or Clearcom systems is advantageous.
• Experience in theater technology (inspection systems, sound technology, video technology, media technology) is desirable.
• Strong willingness to develop personally in networking technology, especially in AV over IP.
• Willingness to participate in on-call duty (extra compensation provided).
• Analytical thinking, structured working style, and teamwork skills.
• Driver's license class B (car) and willingness to travel, including multi-day trips.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of German (C1) and basic English skills.
