About the Role

We're hiring a Senior Software Test Engineer remote to join our team at Haystack. This exciting opportunity involves developing, fielding, and supporting platform health management systems for various defense platforms, focusing on test and verification to ensure maximum mission readiness and effectiveness.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and maintain robust Python scripts for testing.
  • Utilize Cucumber/Gherkin for behavior-driven development to create test scenarios.
  • Design, implement, and execute comprehensive testing solutions using various frameworks.
  • Create, plan, and execute full test cycles for software.
  • Analyze program requirements to develop new, effective test cases.
  • Document software bugs and communicate with multi-functional teams.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret security clearance.
  • 8+ years of experience writing Software Test Plans (STP), Software Test Descriptions (STD), and Software Test Reports (STR).
  • 5+ years of experience creating scripts in Python.
  • 3+ years of experience with Quality Automation Tools (e.g., Selenium, Cucumber, LoadRunner).
  • Experience with Ethernet Network Data Buses.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field (preferred).

Nice to Have

  • Experience in defense-related projects.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
