Senior Software Engineer - AI Security Platform

About the Role

We're hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at HiddenLayer, focusing on AI security solutions. This remote position is ideal for candidates within the United States, especially those in the Eastern Time Zone. In this role, you'll be instrumental in shipping end-to-end platform features that customers rely on daily, enhancing the performance and reliability of our low-latency distributed services running in Kubernetes.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement microservices in Go and/or Python, ensuring clear API contracts and interoperability.
• Build and operate cloud-native services on AWS or Azure, deployed as containerized workloads on Kubernetes.
• Develop customer-facing product experiences using TypeScript and React.
• Own performance by profiling, troubleshooting, and optimizing latency, throughput, and resource efficiency.
• Maintain robust test strategies (unit/integration/e2e) that enable continuous deployment.
• Enhance operational excellence through logging, metrics, tracing, alerting, and incident follow-ups.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Security, and Engineering teams to ensure alignment and effective communication.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery while applying strong engineering judgment and security hygiene.

Requirements

• Strong full-stack experience in shipping and operating production software.
• Proficiency in Go and/or Python for service development in production.
• Experience with TypeScript and React.
• Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure.
• Strong experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
• Familiarity with microservices and distributed systems, particularly in low-latency environments.
• Experience in Agile delivery environments.
• Proven track record of building automated test coverage for safe continuous deployment.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to ML/AI concepts or building adjacent to ML workflows.
• Experience in building security products or cloud security tooling.
• Familiarity with observability tools like OpenTelemetry.
• Experience with API gateways, service mesh, or event-driven systems.
• Infrastructure-as-Code experience with Terraform or CloudFormation.
