Senior Security GRC Analyst - Remote Position

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Security GRC Analyst to join our team at Monarch. This Senior Security GRC Analyst remote position offers an exciting opportunity to lead our compliance program and enhance our customer security assurance function. What You’ll Do

• Scale, automate, and optimize existing GRC, compliance, and customer assurance programs, including security questionnaires and evidence requests.
• Enhance and automate the third-party risk program to improve risk signal quality and reduce assessment cycle time.
• Evaluate, implement, and maintain GRC tooling (such as Vanta, Drata, and SafeBase) with a focus on AI-powered automation.
• Mature the existing SOC 2 program by strengthening continuous controls monitoring and increasing confidence in automated evidence completeness.
• Research and implement additional frameworks and attestations (ISO 27001, CSA STAR) to position Monarch as a security leader in personal finance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience operating and scaling mature GRC, compliance, or customer assurance programs in high-growth environments.
• Hands-on experience with SOC2, CCPA/GDPR compliance, and understanding of frameworks like ISO 27001.
• Experience with Continuous Controls Monitoring and compliance automation tools (Vanta, Drata, SafeBase).
• Strong written communication skills for internal and external engagements.
• Ability to identify process anti-patterns and implement durable, automated solutions.

Nice To Haves

• Background in FinTech or financial services.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS) and modern SaaS stack.
• Experience in a high-growth startup environment within B2B SaaS.
• Experience leveraging AI tools for GRC workflows.
• Relevant certifications (CISA, CRISC, Security+).
