Manager, Game Studio Creative - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Manager, Game Studio Creative to join our team at The Pokémon Company International. This remote position offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team of creative professionals dedicated to enhancing the Pokémon brand. You will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our games and user experiences.

What You'll Do

• Motivate and mentor a diverse team of creatives focused on game design and user experience design.
• Partner with the Creative Director to define and communicate the long-term vision for the Game Studio.
• Drive a culture of innovation and excellence, encouraging your team to challenge the status quo.
• Coach team members through the production process, ensuring high-quality and well-supported work.
• Identify and resolve technical, legal, and logistical issues proactively.
• Develop and manage ideation, design, and delivery schedules to meet project milestones.
• Foster a positive team culture based on collaboration and continuous learning.
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences to ensure project success.

Requirements

• Three+ (3+) years of people management experience.
• Seven+ (7+) years of experience in developing mobile/console video games, preferably AAA or live-service games.
• Formal training or experience in game-related design disciplines, with a preference for game design.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience in strategic planning.
• Ability to communicate effectively across various levels of the organization.
• Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in communicating game design concepts through various mediums.

Nice to Have

• Experience in narrative design, UX design, or UI design.
• Knowledge of mobile game industry standards.
• Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
