Head of Infrastructure and Cloud Platforms - Remote Leadership Role

About the Role

We are seeking a Head of Infrastructure and Cloud Platforms to join our team in a fully remote capacity. This leadership role is pivotal in shaping our cloud strategy during a significant growth phase. As the Head of Infrastructure and Cloud Platforms remote position, you will manage a dedicated team of engineers while overseeing the evolution of our multi-cloud environment.

What You'll Do

• Lead the Infrastructure Platforms team to design and deliver scalable, resilient cloud solutions.
• Drive cloud transformation initiatives across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Architect and implement data integration pipelines between core university systems.
• Champion DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies.
• Ensure operational resilience through Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles.
• Manage vendor relationships and external service providers.

Requirements

• Strong architectural experience across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Proven track record leading and developing technical teams.
• Deep understanding of CI/CD, automation, and modern DevOps toolchains.
• Experience with middleware, ESB, and data orchestration between enterprise systems.
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on technical delivery.

Nice to Have

• Experience in higher education or similar sectors.
• Knowledge of emerging cloud technologies and trends.
