Senior Security Architect - Remote at BitMEX

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Security Architect to join our team at BitMEX, a leading cryptocurrency exchange. As a Senior Security Architect remote, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our platform, which has maintained an impeccable security record since its inception in 2014. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with other security professionals to identify risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.

What You'll Do

• Design and engineer strategic security solutions that protect BitMEX's data, systems, and infrastructure from potential threats.
• Develop Zero Trust Architecture design requirements through sound design methodology and effective configuration practices.
• Review current system security measures and recommend enhancements while addressing technical debt.
• Conduct threat and vulnerability analysis as part of the security design and solution engineering process.
• Respond promptly to all security incidents and provide thorough post-event analyses.

Requirements

• 15+ years of security industry experience, with at least 8 years in an application security role.
• Working knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) and hands-on experience with top cloud concerns, including Identity and Access Management.
• Experience with Secrets and Credentials Management solutions.
• Proficiency in centralized logging and container security.
• Experience in Incident Response, Disaster Recovery, and Cloud Forensics.
• Familiarity with cloud automation frameworks such as Terraform, Ansible, or Chef is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or AWS Certified Security Specialty.
• Experience in the cryptocurrency or fintech sectors.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
