Sessional Tutor - Adult Learning (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and qualified Sessional Tutor for Adult Learning to join our team remotely. As a Sessional Tutor, you will have the opportunity to deliver engaging part-time courses, starting in April 2026. This role offers excellent progression opportunities and the chance to work with a supportive team dedicated to enhancing adult education.

What You'll Do

• Conduct initial and diagnostic assessments to gauge learner capabilities.
• Maintain attendance registers and records of progress, ensuring learners are enrolled at appropriate levels.
• Create and adapt teaching and learning materials tailored to individual learner needs.
• Provide constructive feedback on learners' work to support their development.
• Work within the Learn Harrow Quality framework to ensure compliance with contract standards.
• Maintain effective administrative procedures as required.

Requirements

• Must possess a professional teaching qualification relevant to the subject, such as an Award in Education and Training or PGCE.
• Experience in teaching accredited and non-accredited courses.
• Familiarity with IT skills, particularly advanced proficiency in MS Office and E-Learning platforms.
• Experience working with diverse cultural backgrounds and disadvantaged individuals.
• Knowledge of Safeguarding, Prevent, and British Values in educational contexts.

Nice to Have

• Experience undergoing Ofsted observations and internal/external assessments.
• Ability to implement innovative teaching strategies to engage learners.
