Senior Ruby Developer - Remote EU

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Ruby Developer to join our dynamic team at Shaw Daniels Solutions. This Senior Ruby Developer remote position allows you to work from anywhere in the European Union, contributing to our ambitious feature roadmap. You will play a crucial role in defining our technical solutions and scaling our product to meet customer needs.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with the Product Manager to review project specifications and requirements.
• Prepare integration plans, breakdowns, and estimations for project deliverables.
• Engage in hands-on code implementation, including pull requests, code reviews, and testing.
• Work closely with our co-founder and CTO, Michael, and the product and engineering teams, including web developers, SREs, and data scientists.
• Contribute to the development of large-scale products that serve thousands of users monthly.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in back-end development, specifically with Ruby on Rails.
• Proven track record in tech scale-ups or agile environments.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; fluency in English is mandatory.
• A doer mindset with a focus on ownership and commitment.
• Experience in user-centric product development and a passion for creating exceptional user experiences.
• Familiarity with data science and generative AI technologies (NLP, ML, MLOps) is a plus.
