About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated Train Operator (m/f/d) to join our team at SBB Cargo Deutschland. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in the transportation industry, ensuring safe and punctual freight operations. As a Train Operator, you will be responsible for the secure and timely execution of train and shunting operations in freight transport. This position is based in Offenbach am Main, Germany, and offers remote opportunities for suitable candidates.

What You'll Do

• Conduct safe and punctual train and shunting operations in freight transport.
• Independently plan operational shunting processes and prepare train documents.
• Technically operate diesel locomotives.
• Perform brake tests and wagon inspections.
• Adhere to all safety regulations to ensure a smooth operational workflow.

Requirements

• Successful completion of training as a railway operator (m/f/d) - specializing in locomotive driving and transport or functional training as a Train Operator Class A and/or B according to TfV.
• Current qualifications for brake testing and wagon inspections.
• Knowledge of diesel locomotive series, preferably G1206.
• Strong reliability and a pronounced sense of responsibility.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to influence your workflows actively.
• Good communication skills and decision-making ability.
• Flexibility and willingness to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Nice to Have

• Experience in the transportation industry.
• Additional certifications related to railway operations.
• Previous experience with modern IT systems in transportation.
