About the Role

Space Inch is expanding, and we are on the lookout for a Senior Python Engineer remote to join our dynamic engineering team. What You'll Do

• Architect and build high-quality applications and microservices, taking ownership of backend architecture and coding standards.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to translate requirements into elegant technical solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable code, conduct thorough code reviews, and mentor junior developers.
• Debug and optimize existing software to ensure maximum performance and reliability.
• Utilize your expertise in Python and AI to enhance productivity and code quality.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 5 years specifically in Python.
• Strong general backend knowledge, proficient in web frameworks such as Django or Flask.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design and containerization (Docker).
• Experience with SQL (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB).
• Familiarity with modern TypeScript standards and frontend frameworks (Vue.js preferred, but React/Angular experience is welcomed).
• Experience with CI/CD practices and tools.
• Bonus points for knowledge of Cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and experience with event-driven architectures and message brokers (Kafka/RabbitMQ).

Nice to Have

• Experience in a remote-first environment.
• Proficiency in additional programming languages.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
