Senior Project Management Leader - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are excited to announce an opening for a Senior Project Management Leader remote at USAA. This role is pivotal in leading our project delivery managers in executing a capital plan valued at approximately $150M - $200M. As a Senior Project Management Leader, you will play a crucial role in the strategic design, operational leadership, and coordination of engineering, design, and construction functions.

What You'll Do

• Direct a multi-disciplined team of engineering, architectural, and construction professionals to deliver quality, timely, and cost-effective projects.
• Manage large, mission-critical projects that can exceed $70M, including pre-planning, design, construction, and commissioning.
• Prepare and present executive updates on project schedules, cost, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Review project plans and specifications to identify challenges and opportunities for improvement.
• Coordinate building engineering studies and facility assessments, developing plans to address findings.
• Provide leadership and technical expertise on complex problems and consultant agreements.
• Work with procurement to review legal contracts and provide recommendations.
• Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified and controlled.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field; or 4 years of related experience may substitute for a degree.
• 8+ years of experience in building construction management or project management.
• 3+ years of direct team lead or management experience.
• 4+ years of experience managing third-party consultant agreements.
• Expert-level knowledge of project management processes and Microsoft Office applications.

Nice to Have

• Master's Degree in a relevant field or PMP certification.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex information effectively to senior leadership.
• Strong verbal and graphic presentation skills.
