Senior Product Operations Manager - AI Focus

About the Role

We're hiring a Senior Product Operations Manager to join our dynamic team at OpenAI. This role offers the opportunity to work remotely while leading operational excellence in product management. As a Senior Product Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between product development and operational execution, ensuring that our innovative AI solutions reach the market effectively.

What You'll Do

• Stand up and operate alpha/beta/GA programs with clear entry/exit criteria, recruiting design partners, running internal dogfooding, and transforming qualitative/quantitative insights into prioritized product work.
• Own the launch calendar and readiness cadence for a product group; run XFN checkpoints across Product, Engineering, Research, Safety, Security, Legal, Support, and GTM.
• Build the systems to capture, triage, and synthesize user feedback into actionable recommendations.
• Lead coordination for high-impact moments (e.g., Dev Day demos, rollout waves, partner showcases), managing timelines, resources, and communications to ensure successful outcomes.
• Contribute to building and scaling the Product Operations function at OpenAI—codifying best practices, raising the quality bar, and mentoring peers.

Requirements

• Deep experience in Product Operations at scaling tech companies, with a focus on collaboration with Product/Engineering teams.
• Experience with OpenAI tools and APIs (ChatGPT, Codex, etc.) and programming languages such as Python and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with No-Code/Low-Code platforms like Airtable, Retool, and Zapier.
• Strong data analysis skills, including experience with SQL and data visualization tools.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence without authority.
