Senior Power BI Analyst - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Power BI Analyst to join our dynamic team in a fully remote capacity. This role is pivotal in supporting a high-impact Business Intelligence (BI) modernization initiative, where you will leverage your expertise in data analytics and BI development. As a Senior Power BI Analyst, you will play a crucial role in migrating reporting solutions from SAP BusinessObjects to Microsoft Power BI, ensuring that our data-driven decisions are backed by robust analytics.

What You'll Do

• Participate in business requirements and design meetings with internal and external stakeholders to gather insights and define project scope.
• Analyze existing SAP BusinessObjects reports and map functionality to future-state Microsoft BI solutions, ensuring a seamless transition.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI in alignment with business requirements, providing actionable insights.
• Provide regular daily and weekly status updates, including progress tracking and JIRA updates to keep stakeholders informed.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance (QA) teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve data or reporting issues to maintain high-quality standards.
• Support the decommissioning of legacy SAP BusinessObjects reports following successful migration, ensuring data integrity and continuity.
• Ensure BI solutions adhere to data warehousing standards, best practices, and performance guidelines to optimize efficiency.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence or data analytics development, with a strong focus on Microsoft Power BI.
• Hands-on experience with SAP BusinessObjects, including Web Intelligence (WebI), Universe Design, or related components.
• Advanced SQL skills with experience querying relational databases, essential for data manipulation and reporting.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and BI best practices to ensure effective data management.
• Experience working in an Agile environment and providing structured status updates to enhance team collaboration.

Nice to Have

• Proven experience migrating or converting reports from SAP BusinessObjects to Power BI, showcasing your adaptability.
• Strong understanding of Teradata environments to enhance data integration capabilities.
• Experience working within the healthcare domain, providing insights into industry-specific analytics.
