Senior Payroll Manager - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Payroll Manager remote to lead our payroll operations across North America, ensuring compliance and efficiency for our 18,000 employees. This role offers the opportunity to work remotely while managing a critical function within our organization.

What You'll Do

• Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for hourly and salaried employees across the US and Canada.
• Ensure compliance with SOX regulations and manage audits effectively.
• Drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives within payroll functions.
• Mentor and develop the payroll team, enhancing their performance and capabilities.
• Collaborate with HR, HRIS, Finance, Tax, and Accounting teams to streamline payroll processes.
• Handle payroll reporting, including W-2s, tax filings, and payroll deposits.
• Lead process improvements and system enhancements, particularly with HRIS systems like SuccessFactors.
• Act as an escalation point for complex payroll issues, ensuring timely resolution.

Requirements

• 5+ years of in-house payroll experience, with a strong background in full-cycle payroll operations.
• Proven experience in managing payroll for a large workforce, preferably in manufacturing or hourly environments.
• Strong knowledge of payroll tax, accounting, and compliance regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Experience with HRIS systems, particularly SuccessFactors or Employee Central.
• Demonstrated people management skills, with a focus on team leadership.
