Senior Node.js Developer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Node.js Developer to join our dynamic team at TechMagic. This remote position offers you the opportunity to work with a modern Node.js stack and contribute to architectural decisions while mentoring a Middle Backend Engineer.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain backend services for web and mobile applications.
• Review code to ensure high quality and adherence to best practices.
• Design, build, and evolve backend architecture to support our marketing platform.
• Monitor application performance and stability using logging and monitoring tools.
• Lead and mentor a Middle Backend Engineer, fostering their growth and development.

Requirements

• 4+ years of commercial experience with Node.js (version 18).
• Hands-on experience with Express.js and solid knowledge of REST API design principles.
• Experience with AWS services, including AWS Lambda.
• Proficiency with MongoDB and Mongoose.
• Experience working with Firebase and familiarity with Sentry or similar monitoring tools.
• Understanding of backend architecture and scalable system design.
• Upper-Intermediate or higher level of English.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI integrations.
• Hands-on experience with AWS RDS.
• Strong background in complex third-party integrations (social media APIs, payment providers, external platforms).
