Senior Network Engineer - Remote Opportunity with Relocation Support

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join our dynamic team at American Family Insurance. This Senior Network Engineer remote position offers the flexibility to work from anywhere while providing relocation support for those interested in moving closer to our offices in Madison, WI or Boston, MA. You will collaborate with a talented team to design and implement network solutions that meet our organizational needs.

What You'll Do

• Lead the design, planning, and implementation of network solutions to enhance organizational efficiency.
• Oversee the maintenance of network systems, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
• Implement and manage network security measures to protect data and systems from unauthorized access.
• Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations and performance metrics.
• Coordinate with external vendors for the procurement and maintenance of network equipment.
• Stay updated with the latest network technologies to continuously improve infrastructure and processes.

Requirements

• Demonstrated knowledge of network topologies, protocols, and technologies such as LAN, WAN, and VPN.
• Experience designing and managing Cisco SD-WAN solutions across multiple sites.
• Ability to configure and manage routers, including setting up routing protocols and access control lists (ACLs).
• Familiarity with cloud-based networking services like AWS VPC and Azure Virtual Network.
• Proficiency in using Python for automating network tasks and configuration management.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Ansible and Terraform for automating network device configuration.
• Knowledge of application development methodologies such as Agile.
• Experience with Infoblox DNS, DHCP, and IP Address Management (DDI) solutions.
