What You'll Do

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable ML infrastructure to support innovative drug discovery initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with ML engineers and data scientists to understand and address their infrastructure needs, ensuring seamless integration of machine learning models.
• Document infrastructure designs, processes, and operational procedures to maintain high standards of quality and compliance.
• Lead the architecture and delivery of significant technical solutions, driving the evolution of our machine learning capabilities.
• Proactively identify and solve complex, cross-functional technical problems within the ML infrastructure domain.
• Mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and technical excellence across teams.
• Utilize your expertise in AWS (EC2, S3, RDS) and programming languages such as Python, C++, and Rust to enhance our infrastructure.
• Drive projects to completion while adhering to corporate guidelines and best practices.

Requirements

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with 3-5 years of industry experience.
• Proven experience designing, deploying, and managing infrastructure on AWS.
• Strong proficiency in scripting and compiled languages, particularly Python, C++, and Rust.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude, with the ability to anticipate needs and drive projects to completion.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving requirements.
• Experience with large-scale ML model platforms and tools, particularly PyTorch.
• A history of significant contributions to open-source projects or industry standards is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Git and repository management.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects from conception to completion.
• Familiarity with ML model scaling and inference performance optimization.
