Senior Machine Learning Engineer - Generative AI Solutions

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our team at Lyra Health. This remote position is perfect for someone who is passionate about leveraging generative AI to create impactful mental health solutions. As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, you will play a crucial role in building the tooling and services necessary to deliver ML and generative AI-based products that significantly enhance our offerings.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain tooling and services that power machine learning and generative AI solutions in production.
• Implement training and inference platform services to optimize model performance.
• Establish model evaluation metrics and testing frameworks to ensure high-quality outputs.
• Deploy and manage applications that facilitate various components of the AI/ML SDLC process.
• Engage in daily coding to enhance our AI capabilities and contribute to team projects.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience deploying ML/AI solutions in production environments.
• Proficient in writing high-quality code in Python and experience building RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with Protobuf messages and deploying applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with relational and low-latency databases, as well as working with Celery.
• A strong desire to work on ML/AI-based products and a love for building systems from scratch.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to distill complex problems into clear priorities.

Nice to Have

• Experience with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) solutions and maintaining vector databases.
• Proficiency in writing production code in Java/Kotlin.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS, and working with sensitive healthcare data.
