Senior Human Factors Engineer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Human Factors Engineer to join our innovative team at Apple. This remote position offers an exciting opportunity to influence product design and enhance user experiences through rigorous research and analysis.

What You'll Do

• Apply Human Factors Engineering (HFE) techniques throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Develop and implement study methodologies, data collection efforts, and data analysis.
• Conduct user-centered research and evaluations across diverse user populations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, engineering, and product development.
• Maintain knowledge of global human factors publications and standards.

Requirements

• 3+ years of industry experience in Human Factors or User Experience Research.
• Master’s degree or higher in human factors, cognitive engineering, or related fields.
• Proven expertise in mixed methods research combining quantitative and qualitative approaches.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with scripting/programming for data manipulation (e.g., R, Matlab, Python).

Nice to Have

• Experience in cognitive engineering and task analysis.
• Ability to customize data collection tools and analyze outputs.
• Experience leveraging AI tools to support research workflows.
