Senior Embedded Software Engineer - Flight Navigation Systems

About the Role

Join Northrop Grumman as a Senior Embedded Software Engineer for Flight Navigation Systems. This remote position offers a unique opportunity to work on revolutionary systems that impact lives globally. You'll be part of a pioneering team, developing software for the Flight/Guidance Navigation & Control (GN&C) Software Team.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, operate, and maintain software and firmware components for engineering applications.
• Apply appropriate standards and tools throughout the system development life cycle.
• Interface with customers, suppliers, and technical personnel to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Utilize C/C++, Python, and other programming languages to create efficient code.
• Work in an Agile environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams using the Atlassian Tool Suite.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software development with a Bachelor’s in a STEM field.
• Active DoD Secret clearance and ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP).
• 4+ years of experience in C/C++/C#, Python, or similar programming languages.
• Experience with object-oriented programming and design patterns.
• 2+ years in hardware/software communication interfaces and real-time data analytics.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering using Cameo.
• Familiarity with IBM Rational tool suite (DOORS).
• Experience developing software for hard real-time systems.
