What You'll Do
- Serve as a senior technical resource and advisor for your team, providing specialized input on electrical design projects.
- Develop study and design procedures to ensure high-quality, cost-effective work.
- Participate in interdisciplinary reviews of project deliverables, ensuring compliance with standards.
- Conduct quality control reviews of design calculations and drawings, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
- Prepare technical specifications and assist in developing engineering budgets and schedules.
- Mentor junior and intermediate engineering staff, fostering their professional growth.
- Coordinate with other discipline leads to meet client performance objectives efficiently.
- Utilize your expertise in electrical design for buildings, facilities, and infrastructure, including power distribution and lighting.
Requirements
- A University Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience in electrical design for buildings and infrastructure.
- Possession of a valid Engineering designation (P.Eng).
- Ability to obtain or hold valid security clearance (Reliability or Secret).
- Strong verbal communication skills, including presentation and facilitation abilities.
- Experience in electrical design for marine facilities is a plus but not mandatory.
Nice to Have
- Experience with pile foundations and concrete decks.
- Familiarity with saltwater construction.
- Previous involvement in interdisciplinary projects.
