Senior Electrical Engineer (ECAD) - Onsite Role

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer (ECAD) remote to join our team at Raytheon. This position is located in Huntsville, Alabama, and is an onsite role. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing cutting-edge technologies that align with our customers' needs. You will be responsible for designing Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) from conception to manufacturing, ensuring that our designs meet high standards of quality and efficiency.

What You'll Do

• Design and develop Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) and Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs) using Siemens Xpedition Enterprise and DownStream Technologies BluePrint-PCB.
• Create schematic drawings, component placements, and routing of traces to ensure optimal design functionality.
• Interface daily with various engineering disciplines including Electrical, Mechanical, and Test Engineering to capture overall design requirements.
• Manage and execute full designs, re-spins, drawing updates, and process improvement projects.
• Utilize design tools to create layouts for Rigid, Flex, and Rigid-Flex assemblies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with 3 years of experience.
• Experience with PCB manufacturing principles and electrical design processes.
• Proficiency in using Siemens design tools, particularly the Xpedition Layout tool suite.
• Familiarity with military and commercial design standards, GD&T techniques, and IPC 6012 & IPC 6013.
• Active Secret DoD security clearance is required.

Nice to Have

• Experience with RF circuitry and High Density Interconnect (HDI) technology.
• Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing rule sets and Design Rule Checking software.
• Ability to understand and interpret complex drawings related to PCBs and CCAs.
