Senior DevOps Engineer - Remote Position at Aura

About the Role

We are hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our remote team at Aura. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our mission to create a safer internet by developing and maintaining our infrastructure as code. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will work with a passionate team of over 400 professionals dedicated to building innovative digital safety products that protect millions of users worldwide.

What You'll Do

• Create tools for use by all of Aura in multiple languages and paradigms, including serverless and containerized solutions.
• Investigate better ways to enable teams to deploy and manage networks and product deployments.
• Assist with deployments using Terraform and GitHub Actions.
• Debug cloud issues when development teams need assistance.
• Offer design assistance for teams trying new technologies and help provide vision and strategic optimization.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a DevOps role.
• Passion for cloud computing and a helpful, curious attitude.
• Experience writing Infrastructure as Code.
• Proficiency in any programming language.
• An eye for detail and a willingness to engage with multiple teams to solve problems.
• Ownership of tasks and responsibilities.

Nice to Have

• Experience with serverless or containerized deployments.
• Familiarity with logging and monitoring strategies at scale, especially with CloudWatch and Grafana.
• Experience with Python or TypeScript.
• Knowledge of data lake or large data ETL infrastructure.
• Experience optimizing costs in cloud environments.
