Senior Database Administrator - Remote Position

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Database Administrator to join our team remotely. In this role, you will provide technical leadership to administer, install, configure, patch, and upgrade MS SQL Server databases. As a Senior Database Administrator remote, you will utilize your expertise in MS SQL Server, Azure SQL, AWS SQL, MongoDB, T-SQL, PowerShell, SSIS, TDE, and SSMS to ensure optimal database performance.

What You'll Do

• Administer and manage MS SQL Server databases, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize queries and server configurations.
• Design, implement, and test backup recovery strategies to safeguard data integrity.
• Provide support for database-related issues and perform root cause analysis to resolve problems efficiently.
• Develop and maintain scripts using T-SQL and PowerShell to automate administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure database solutions meet business requirements.
• Stay updated on the latest database technologies and best practices to enhance our database management capabilities.
• Similar duties as required.

Requirements

• Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Technology, or a related field with 3 years of experience in MS SQL Server database administration.
• Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in the same fields with 5 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in T-SQL, Azure SQL, and AWS is required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience with MongoDB and SSIS.
• Knowledge of database security best practices.
• Familiarity with cloud database solutions.
