Senior Data Scientist - Remote Position at Auctane

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join our team at Auctane. This is a fantastic opportunity to work remotely while solving challenging logistics and optimization problems that help our customers succeed. As a Senior Data Scientist remote, you will analyze large datasets, develop metrics, and create business cases that will enhance customer satisfaction.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and deploy machine learning systems that improve shipping efficiency for our customers.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to ensure your work directly impacts customer success.
• Mentor junior data scientists and share your expertise.
• Continuously measure and improve the accuracy of predictive models.
• Incorporate unstructured datasets into machine learning models using AI & ML techniques.
• Automate scalable model pipelines in production environments.
• Document and communicate methodologies and results effectively.
• Utilize data to influence the product roadmap and business decisions.
• Research and develop new models to address key business challenges.
• Use visualization tools to enhance data interpretation and accessibility.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a data scientist or machine learning engineer.
• Proven experience in designing, building, and deploying machine learning models in production.
• Excellent skills in Python and SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
• Strong understanding of data engineering best practices and experience with large datasets.
• Exceptional collaboration and communication skills with cross-functional teams.
• Experience using data to influence product or business decisions.
• Familiarity with software development practices and version control (e.g., Git).

Nice to Have

• Proven track record of leading end-to-end machine learning projects.
• Deep expertise in areas such as Financial Fraud, Geospatial analysis, or Neural Networks.
• Experience with cloud-native ML workflows on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience deploying AI agents and RAG pipelines.
