Senior Data Infrastructure Engineer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Data Infrastructure Engineer to join our innovative team at Ivy. This remote position offers an exciting opportunity to build the data infrastructure from the ground up, shaping the future of our operations. As the first data hire, you will own everything from infrastructure to strategy and architecture, bringing our vision to life.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement a robust data foundation that the entire company relies on, ensuring data accuracy and speed.
• Develop ingestion pipelines, data models, and analytics to provide real-time insights across the organization.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams to enhance data movement and accessibility.
• Establish a security framework for data access that meets regulatory standards.
• Lead the transition from an empty slate to a production-grade data infrastructure within your first six months.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience building data infrastructure using tools such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Proficiency in data warehousing solutions like Snowflake, ClickHouse, or Redshift.
• Experience in a heavily regulated industry such as banking or fintech.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work autonomously.
• Based in Berlin or willing to relocate.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with blockchain technology.
• Experience in designing data systems for AI applications.
• Knowledge of data orchestration tools.
