Senior Data Engineer - Remote Position

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our team in a fully remote capacity. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing data systems that are critical to our business operations. This position requires a strong background in data engineering, particularly with AWS technologies, and a passion for solving complex data challenges.

What You'll Do

• Design and develop data pipelines, data marts, and schemas to support our data warehousing environments and analytical requirements.
• Implement scalable data Lakehouse architectures using AWS S3, Delta Lake, and Redshift.
• Build and maintain high-performance data pipelines to ingest, transform, and curate large datasets.
• Develop ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, PySpark, and AWS Glue.
• Optimize performance for Spark workloads and Redshift queries.
• Design and maintain workflow orchestration using Apache Airflow.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for data workflows and automate testing, deployment, and monitoring of data pipelines.
• Collaborate closely with data consumers, analysts, and platform engineers to support self-service analytics.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in data warehousing and OLAP systems.
• 7+ years of experience with multidimensional database architecture, data modeling, and design.
• 5+ years of SQL experience.
• 3+ years of experience with Python.
• 2+ years of experience with Redshift and NoSQL databases.
• Strong understanding of AWS services, including Glue, Lambda, and Step Functions.
• Experience with data governance, validation, and monitoring frameworks.
• Proven experience implementing CI/CD pipelines for data workflows.

Nice to Have

• AWS Data Warehouse operations experience.
• Experience with Tableau, Quicksight, Looker, and big data analytics.
• Familiarity with data streaming technologies.
