Senior Data Engineer - Remote Position at NBCUniversal

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our team at NBCUniversal. This Senior Data Engineer remote position will focus on leading the Engineering & Automation pillar, where you will work on scalable data architectures and automation within our data collaboration ecosystem. As part of a leading global media and entertainment company, your contributions will directly impact our ability to deliver world-class content across various platforms.

What You'll Do

• Define architecture patterns across Snowflake, LiveRamp, and Databricks.
• Configure and manage clean room environments and Python-based libraries.
• Establish MLOps practices for AI/ML features.
• Design RBAC policies and privacy-preserving controls.
• Build and operate ELT pipelines using Snowpark and PySpark.
• Implement identity resolution logic for data mapping.
• Ensure data quality through automated checks.
• Lead performance optimization across platforms.
• Establish monitoring and operational procedures.
• Mentor other engineers and design internal AI agents.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of Data Engineering experience.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Experience with cloud data platforms like Snowflake or Databricks.
• Experience building scalable ELT pipelines.
• Knowledge of Clean Room concepts.
• Experience with AI/ML applications.
• Leadership skills for mentoring engineers.
• Certifications in SnowPro or Databricks preferred.

Nice to Have

• Experience with data governance and compliance.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts.
