Data Engineer - Clearance Required - Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer - Remote to join our team at Logistics Management Institute (LMI). This role is pivotal in supporting the Army Training Information System through innovative data solutions. As a Data Engineer - Remote, you will work collaboratively with software developers and domain experts to enhance operational efficiency and drive impactful results.

What You'll Do

• Perform data engineering and data analysis to create, store, locate, retrieve, analyze, manage, and share documentation and artifacts.
• Lead and develop data products throughout the system/software development life cycle, from requirements definition to deployment and operations.
• Define and develop techniques to integrate, consolidate, and structure data for analytical use.
• Identify data migration strategies to transition data from legacy systems to advanced solutions.
• Conduct assessments related to data architecture, design, and implementation.
• Collaborate with developers, data scientists, and other engineers to facilitate data movement and security.
• Contribute to technical collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Active SECRET clearance required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with enterprise data management solutions.
• Minimum 2 years of experience modeling and managing structured and unstructured data.
• Experience leading legacy data integration and remediation.
• Deep understanding of different integration patterns and best practices.
• Must possess and maintain an active Secret Security Clearance.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud data solutions (AWS, Azure).
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
• Knowledge of machine learning concepts.
