About the Role

This Senior Data Engineer remote position offers you the opportunity to shape and scale our open lakehouse data platform built on Snowflake and Apache Iceberg. You will play a crucial role in designing robust, scalable data pipelines that power analytics and customer-facing features across our SaaS products.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures with a focus on reliability and efficiency.
• Implement ETL/ELT processes with rigorous quality checks to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
• Mentor data engineers and foster a culture of learning and ownership.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to translate requirements into impactful data solutions.
• Champion testing, documentation, and observability through design reviews and technical leadership.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, specifically with Snowflake and Apache Iceberg.
• Strong production proficiency in dbt, including complex models and CI/CD integration.
• Advanced skills in SQL and Python for building idempotent, observable, schema-safe pipelines.
• Deep understanding of data modeling trade-offs and big data frameworks.
• Excellent communication skills for distilling complex topics for diverse audiences.

Nice to Have

• Experience with DataOps, IaC, or real-time streaming pipelines.
• Proven track record of building and maintaining a production-grade open lakehouse.
