About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced General Manager - Modern British Pub to lead our newest opening, The Steam Packet, in Chiswick. As a General Manager, you will own every aspect of the venue's performance and be empowered to run the site as if it were your own business. This role offers an exciting opportunity to create a vibrant atmosphere where guests and staff feel welcomed and valued.

What You'll Do

• Lead, train, and inspire a high-performing team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
• Manage all operational aspects of the pub, ensuring high standards of service and quality.
• Develop and implement strategies to drive sales and enhance profitability.
• Foster a positive and energetic environment for both guests and staff.
• Utilize your commercial acumen to make informed decisions that impact the venue's success.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a General Manager in a similar environment.
• Deep knowledge of premium gastropub food and drink businesses.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with an approachable leadership style.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and manage high-volume operations effectively.
• Proven track record in customer service excellence and financial management.

Nice to Have

• Personal License holder.
• Experience in training and mentoring staff.
