Senior Counsel - Ads Product and Commercial Partnerships (Remote)

About the Role

Reddit is seeking a highly motivated and technical Senior Counsel for Ads Product and Commercial Partnerships to join our dynamic Ads Legal team. This Senior Counsel remote position is designed for a full-stack ads lawyer who can seamlessly pivot between complex product counseling and bespoke commercial negotiations. You will play a crucial role in shaping Reddit’s ad partner ecosystem, supporting initiatives that drive significant annual revenue.

What You'll Do

• Lead bespoke negotiations with Agency HoldCo data platforms, Measurement Partners, and E-commerce platforms.
• Provide end-to-end legal guidance on engineering and product work for third-party integrations.
• Ensure compliance with evolving global privacy laws and protect Reddit’s proprietary ads data.
• Develop strategies for emerging technologies in the ad space, including Data Clean Rooms and AI-driven brand safety tools.
• Anticipate regulatory shifts affecting ads privacy and data sharing to maintain Reddit’s leadership in the ad-tech space.

Requirements

• 8+ years of legal experience focused on the online advertising ecosystem.
• Proficiency in negotiating complex revenue-share agreements and understanding data flow for integrations.
• Deep knowledge of technical ads infrastructure and emerging privacy trends.
• Strong working knowledge of GDPR and U.S. State Privacy Laws.
• JD and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.

• Experience with AI technologies and their application in advertising.
• Familiarity with self-regulatory regimes in the advertising industry.
• Ability to propose mitigations and build scalable processes for partner onboarding.
