Senior Corporate Security Engineer - Remote
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Corporate Security Engineer to join our dynamic team at Huntress. This remote position offers a unique opportunity to work with a fully remote, global team of cybersecurity experts dedicated to making a real difference in the industry. As a Senior Corporate Security Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our technology solutions are secure, scalable, and resilient by design.
What You'll Do
- Design and implement proactive security processes in collaboration with the IT Solutions Engineering team.
- Lead the shift from reactive measures to proactive defense, identifying potential risks and designing secure-by-default processes.
- Oversee workstation security design, ensuring effective configurations for Windows and macOS systems.
- Manage email security systems to protect against phishing and malware, maintaining authentication standards.
- Act as the subject matter expert for Entra ID, designing access policies and enforcing MFA standards.
- Lead security reviews for SaaS applications, ensuring secure configurations and integrations.
- Educate and mentor IT and business system support teams on security best practices.
- Act as the primary technical escalation point for the internal CIRT regarding IT-managed assets.
- Collaborate with Automation and Systems Engineers to prioritize vulnerability remediation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant security certifications (CISSP, GIAC, etc.).
- 5+ years of experience in Information Security or IT Engineering with a focus on securing remote workforces.
- Deep expertise in Microsoft Intune for configuration management and security baselines.
- Proficiency in Entra ID security, including Conditional Access and Identity Protection.
- Experience securing SaaS ecosystems (Google Workspace, Slack, Salesforce, etc.).
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a fully remote environment.
- Excellent communication skills to explain complex security concepts to technical peers.
- Proven project ownership experience from design to deployment.
Nice to Have
- Experience with risk-based vulnerability management.
- Familiarity with identity and access management tools.
- Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards.
