Senior Compliance & Regulatory Manager - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are excited to announce an opening for a Senior Compliance & Regulatory Manager remote position at Zego, a pioneering insurtech company based in Gibraltar. As a Senior Compliance & Regulatory Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our company adheres to all regulatory frameworks applicable to the motor insurance industry. This position is pivotal in safeguarding consumer interests and ensuring compliance with the highest standards.

What You'll Do

• Stay updated on regulatory changes affecting the motor insurance sector and ensure compliance with Gibraltar and UK laws.
• Act as the primary contact for regulatory bodies, contributing to all regulatory submissions and audits.
• Implement and oversee strategies to ensure compliance with Consumer Duty regulations, focusing on transparency and fairness.
• Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive compliance policies and procedures.
• Establish a Compliance Monitoring Plan to ensure continuous compliance and address potential violations.
• Conduct thorough risk assessments related to compliance issues and develop risk mitigation strategies.
• Develop and deliver training programs on compliance and regulatory requirements for employees.
• Advise the board and executive management on compliance-related matters, providing strategic insights.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience in a compliance role within the insurance industry, ideally in motor insurance.
• Deep understanding of Gibraltar’s regulatory environment and international compliance standards.
• Strong relationships with the Gibraltar Financial Services Commission.
• Exceptional organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
• Strong awareness of Consumer Duty regulations in Gibraltar and the UK.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI in compliance management.
• Knowledge of international insurance markets.
• Previous experience in a hybrid work environment.
