Senior Compliance Officer - Remote Position

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Compliance Officer remote to join our team at Internews. This role is crucial for ensuring compliance with European donor regulations while managing the lifecycle of donor-funded awards. You will work closely with various departments to foster a culture of compliance and excellence.

What You'll Do

• Review and approve proposal budgets for assigned funding opportunities as a Senior Compliance Officer remote.
• Advise staff on internal and donor rules throughout the project cycle.
• Collaborate with Finance to support successful programme audits.
• Deliver training for new and junior staff on compliance and procurement.
• Manage procurement processes and negotiate contracts in compliance with donor requirements.

Requirements

• University degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Extensive experience in award management within international nonprofits.
• Proven ability to interpret and apply donor rules in real project contexts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in compliance management.
• Native-level proficiency in English, with excellent writing and editing skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience living or working in a global majority country.
• Proficiency in Russian.
• Familiarity with Internews’ operating environment.
