About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Software Engineer - Remote Assist to join our innovative team at Stack AV. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in cloud technologies to enhance our autonomous systems and contribute to the future of transportation. As a Senior Cloud Software Engineer, you will work on complex user interfaces, scalable cloud infrastructure, and cutting-edge AI technologies.

What You'll Do

  • Own the cloud infrastructure for the Remote Assist system, ensuring reliability and performance.
  • Contribute to the development of operator tooling applications and onboard components, including video and data streaming technologies.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team of engineers across front-end, cloud, and robotics disciplines.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and travel quarterly to our headquarters in Pittsburgh.
  • Influence the design and architecture of the end-to-end Remote Assist system.

Requirements

  • BS in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly in cloud services.
  • Proficiency in Go programming language and experience with SQL/NoSQL databases.
  • Strong knowledge of containerized solutions such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with low-latency real-time streaming architectures.
  • Familiarity with live video streaming systems and WebRTC.
  • Knowledge of front-end development using Typescript and React.
  • Experience with C++ development in AV/Robotics products.
