Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic team at Solix, Inc. This remote position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge cloud technologies and collaborate with cross-functional teams. You will be responsible for administering, maintaining, installing, configuring, and supporting our cloud infrastructure, utilizing tools such as VMware, AWS, and Azure.

What You'll Do

• Administer and maintain cloud infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Utilize VMware, vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, SRM/DR, NSX, and VSAN for system administration tasks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address complex infrastructure issues and implement solutions.
• Design and implement infrastructure upgrades and migrations to enhance system capabilities.
• Provide technical expertise in applying security policies and best practices.
• Engage in routine systems maintenance, including backup and performance tuning.
• Train users on system functionalities and best practices.

Requirements

• Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field with 3 years of experience in system administration using VMware Infrastructure; or a Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience including at least 3 years in VMware.
• Strong knowledge of cloud technologies, particularly AWS and Azure.
• Experience with VMware tools and technologies.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Nice to Have

• Certifications in VMware, AWS, or Azure.
• Experience with Cisco UCS and HCI solutions.
• Knowledge of security policies and compliance standards.
