Senior Cloud Engineer (Azure) - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer (Azure) remote to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will leverage your extensive experience in Azure cloud infrastructure to enhance the reliability, security, and scalability of our internal systems and platforms.

What You'll Do

• Contribute to infrastructure architecture initiatives supporting business systems.
• Configure and manage security systems connected to cloud resources.
• Deploy and maintain third-party enterprise applications.
• Support endpoint management strategy and device lifecycle.
• Administer Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, and Entra ID (including onboarding/offboarding).
• Implement systems aligned with PCI and SOC compliance requirements.
• Partner with security teams on antivirus, malware protection, and broader cybersecurity tooling.
• Support SQL Server and PostgreSQL environments alongside data teams.
• Manage relationships with external cloud and managed service providers.
• Maintain infrastructure roadmaps, documentation, diagrams, and upgrade plans.
• Track software inventory and licensing.
• Participate in Azure service and capacity planning.
• Work with engineering and security teams to roll out infrastructure changes.
• Build dashboards reporting on system health and device status.
• Develop metrics to assess performance, security posture, and configuration standards.
• Escalate risks related to availability, security, or resilience of cloud services.
• Support ad hoc technical initiatives as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or similar) with 7+ years in IT, or 10+ years equivalent experience.
• Strong experience across Azure (including Kubernetes, networking, firewalls, and WAF).
• Experience with both Windows and Linux environments.
• Hands-on administration of Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and PowerShell.
• Experience delivering infrastructure upgrades and migrations.
• Knowledge of AD, DNS, DHCP, VNET, and VLANs.
• Experience with SIEM platforms or security monitoring tools.
• Strong working knowledge of Azure Portal.
• Experience managing IIS, Apache, or Tomcat servers.
• Solid understanding of security principles: OS hardening, DLP, vulnerability management.
