Senior Cloud Database Administrator - IVR & Analytics Platform

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Database Administrator to join our team at Miratech, a global IT services and consulting company. This Senior Cloud Database Administrator remote position is integral to building and operating a mission-critical IVR & Analytics platform that supports real-time customer interaction flows and data-driven decision-making at scale.

What You'll Do

• Administer cloud-based databases, specifically Amazon Aurora MySQL and Amazon Redshift, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Manage the full lifecycle of database operations, including provisioning, configuration, patching, and upgrades.
• Ensure high availability, backup/recovery, and disaster resilience for mission-critical databases.
• Monitor and optimize performance for high-throughput transactional workloads and ETL analytics queries.
• Support production databases with on-call incident response, performing root cause analysis and implementing fixes.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on schema and data design to support application services, ETL pipelines, and reporting tools.
• Automate operational tasks using scripting and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Cloud DBA or Database Administrator.
• Hands-on experience with Amazon Aurora MySQL and Amazon Redshift.
• Strong knowledge of high availability, backup & recovery processes.
• Experience with performance tuning, monitoring, and alerting.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix and shell scripting.
• Experience supporting high-volume, mission-critical systems.
• Readiness to participate in on-call support for production databases.

Nice to Have

• Experience in IVR or contact center environments.
• Familiarity with ETL pipelines and data warehousing.
• Experience with event-driven or analytics-heavy systems.
