Senior Cloud Cost Analyst - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We're hiring a Senior Cloud Cost Analyst to join our team remotely. In this role, you will play a crucial part in optimizing and managing our cloud infrastructure costs, ensuring that we operate efficiently while supporting our mission to build safe and beneficial AI systems.

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain cloud cost attribution models that accurately allocate infrastructure spend across teams and workloads.
• Partner with finance and infrastructure teams to analyze utilization patterns and drive optimization initiatives.
• Develop forecasting models for infrastructure demand, incorporating business growth projections and historical spend trends.
• Define and track unit cost metrics, identifying opportunities to reduce costs and influence engineering roadmaps.
• Create self-serve dashboards and automated reporting to enhance visibility into cloud spend and efficiency metrics.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or FinOps roles focused on cloud infrastructure cost analysis.
• Expertise in Python, SQL, and data visualization tools.
• Deep knowledge of cloud billing systems and cost allocation methodologies.
• Strong analytical skills with a bias for action and urgency.
• Excellent written communication and presentation skills.
