Senior Business Analyst - EdTech Remote

About the Role

We're hiring a Senior Business Analyst - EdTech Remote to join our dynamic team at Themesoft Inc. This role is 100% remote and offers a long-term contractual opportunity starting with a 12-month contract that is rolling and extendable. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in developing world-class online learning solutions that cater to K-12 teachers and students. You will work closely with various teams to address high-level customer problems and transform them into actionable solutions.

What You'll Do

• Connect the Why to the What: Collaborate with product leadership to identify problems and integrate project goals into the team's workflow.
• Participate in user research and UX sessions, synthesizing feedback into actionable requirements and user stories.
• Drive cross-team collaboration by coordinating with supporting teams to clarify and prioritize program-specific requirements.
• Maintain and groom the backlog in JIRA, ensuring tickets are organized and properly labeled.
• Serve as scrum master, leading agile ceremonies such as standups, retrospectives, and sprint planning.
• Deliver customer value by ensuring the quality of user stories and features before release, and preparing release notes for enhancements and bug fixes.
• Monitor team health and look for opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Manage defect triage and communication, ensuring resolutions meet SLAs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the EdTech or digital content development sectors.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile-based software development teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, and experience with user research and UX design.
• A self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving and project management.
• Attention to detail and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.

Nice to Have

• Experience in education technology or digital content development.
• Familiarity with UX design principles.
• Knowledge of data analysis tools and techniques.
